When to hike...
Weather on the Wild Coast is typified by hot, rainy summers from September to February with consistent winds moving up and down the coast throughout the year. Winters, from May to August, can see night time temperatures sinking quite low but never too uncomfortable. The best time to hike is from February to August as rain is rare and mild with temperatures remaining warm and the sea full of whales. However it does get quite dry by the end of this season with waterfalls and rivers getting very low. In August the rains begin to pick up again reaching a peak from October to December when it can often rain consistently for many days.
